Where they differ

How the price grows

Bïrch: The price follows your monthly ad spend across all connected platforms, and its pricing page says going over a plan's limit adds a fee. Annual billing gives one month free. Smartly.io: It publishes no prices, so we cannot say how the price grows. Terms are set by contract after a demo.

Who each is built for

Bïrch: Experienced media buyers and agencies who prefer to set every condition themselves and run ads on several platforms. Smartly.io: Smartly.io is built for enterprise brands and agencies with large creative teams. G2 lists an average implementation time of two months.

How each one works

Bïrch: You build rules, and once published they act on their own whenever their conditions are met. The AI drafts rules for you to review, and its chat asks for approval before each action by default. Smartly.io: You build blueprints, templates and triggers, and the platform generates and runs campaigns from them. Its AI agents were announced in June 2026 without a release date.

What reviewers say

Neither fits when

You need rules and AI actions that work on your Meta ads, with every change approved by you. Bïrch's help center says its AI chat can't create campaigns, so new campaigns are built in its bulk builder. We found no audience builder on its public pages. Madgicx creates campaigns, ad sets and ads from a chat, paused until you approve. Madgicx has ready-made and AI audiences. Madgicx sends alerts when something changes in your ad account. Seats and ad generations are unlimited in every plan, from $45 a month.

How we compare: methodology

  1. How each tool automates: rules, AI actions or both.
  2. Which ad platforms each covers and how campaigns get built.
  3. What the price buys and how it grows.
  4. What recent G2 reviewers praise and complain about.

Published by Madgicx, which competes with both tools. We use each vendor's pricing and product pages (bir.ch and smartly.io) and the most recent G2 reviews we could read, with dates listed below. This is our editorial view of fit, not independent test results. Confirm any capability not listed here with the vendor. Bïrch's pricing page of 5 November 2026 states no spend limit per plan, so we show what the page says. G2 did not load on 5 November, so its rating and reviews come from 15 October 2026. Smartly.io publishes no prices, and its pricing page returned 404 on 27 October 2026 and again on 5 November 2026.
