Why should high-school test and audition campaigns use different conversion stages?

NYC’s specialized-school guidance distinguishes SHSAT schools from LaGuardia, which uses auditions rather than that test. Label registration or audition completion by the advertised route instead of merging them as one generic application event.

Can one completed high-school audition represent several program interests?

NYC permits one audition submission per discipline for multiple relevant programs. Count the applicant and submission separately from the number of program choices when interpreting demand generated by recruitment ads.

Source Link to answer
Should audition-format copy imply that an in-person submission has an advantage?

NYC says virtual and in-person auditions are treated equally. Explain the available formats accurately in that program’s recruitment landing page instead of implying an advantage unsupported by its admissions guidance.

Source Link to answer
Why can high-school test participation exceed admission offers?

NYC describes SHSAT offers using score order, preferences and seat availability, and states that not every test taker receives an offer. Separate test participation from offers before judging a recruitment campaign’s enrollment conversion.

Benchmark status reviewed 11 October 2026.

The exact category cohort does not support a publishable AOV aggregate.

Median and middle 50% of account-level average order values. Each account value is purchase ROAS multiplied by cost per purchase in USD. Successful classifications, including manual corrections, with positive finite spend, purchases, ROAS and cost per purchase. Accounts are counted once with equal weight. Quartiles use linear interpolation. Root cohorts include direct root classifications and their child categories; exact-child cohorts exclude parent and sibling categories. The source selects the highest-spend coverage row per account among snapshots dated within the preceding 30 days; the underlying reporting period is not supplied. This is a dated aggregate advertising-data snapshot, not business-wide AOV or a census. Parent and sibling benchmarks are never substituted.
