Handshake distinguishes clicks on Apply from applications completed in an external ATS. Keep those events separate when interpreting student acquisition campaigns; a click can precede a completed application without proving one occurred.
Handshake’s applicant reporting distinguishes students who registered for events from those who attended. Report both stages separately when a Facebook campaign promotes a campus recruiting event.
Handshake reports the most common applicant schools and majors. Examine those relevant student segments alongside completed applications instead of treating every inquiry as equally aligned with an employer’s opportunity.
Handshake’s ATS applicant definition includes completed external applications from people with prior platform engagement within its stated lookback. That association is not evidence of an incremental Facebook result; retain source and campaign attribution separately.

Median and middle 50% of account-level average order values. Each account value is purchase ROAS multiplied by cost per purchase in USD. Successful classifications, including manual corrections, with positive finite spend, purchases, ROAS and cost per purchase. Accounts are counted once with equal weight. Quartiles use linear interpolation. Root cohorts include direct root classifications and their child categories; exact-child cohorts exclude parent and sibling categories. The source selects the highest-spend coverage row per account among snapshots dated within the preceding 30 days; the underlying reporting period is not supplied. This is a dated aggregate advertising-data snapshot, not business-wide AOV or a census. Parent and sibling benchmarks are never substituted.
