What should the packaging brief include?

Tell the designer which physical applications, source materials and constraints matter before concept work. AIGA frames those as discovery inputs that should be recorded in the brief.

Why review barcode space early in package design?

Placement and surrounding space affect scanning. GS1 US generally describes a lower-right back position for checkout items and cautions against package edges and uneven print surfaces.

Source Link to answer
Can a barcode simply be shrunk to fit the final layout?

Do not assume so. GS1 US warns that scaling or truncating barcode artwork can affect scan quality, and calls for clear quiet zones at both sides.

What should a production handoff make explicit?

List the artwork files and exports, approver, review stages and unresolved production constraints. AIGA recommends these as proposal and handoff questions, without prescribing one universal package.

Benchmark status reviewed 11 October 2026.

The exact category cohort does not support a publishable AOV aggregate.

Median and middle 50% of account-level average order values. Each account value is purchase ROAS multiplied by cost per purchase in USD. Successful classifications, including manual corrections, with positive finite spend, purchases, ROAS and cost per purchase. Accounts are counted once with equal weight. Quartiles use linear interpolation. Root cohorts include direct root classifications and their child categories; exact-child cohorts exclude parent and sibling categories. The source selects the highest-spend coverage row per account among snapshots dated within the preceding 30 days; the underlying reporting period is not supplied. This is a dated aggregate advertising-data snapshot, not business-wide AOV or a census. Parent and sibling benchmarks are never substituted.
