What inputs should an advertising designer receive?

Give the designer the objective, audience, required channels, brand voice and existing assets. The 4As media brief explicitly includes audience, channel and media-creative alignment fields.

Why define the approval path before concepting?

A campaign brief can name contacts, checkpoints and sign-off, so creative changes have a clear owner. The 4As template includes those fields and a documented change process.

What should a design proposal say about revisions?

Name review stages, the approving person, files delivered and what becomes a new request. AIGA recommends making those boundaries visible rather than implying unlimited revision.

How can a buyer review an ad design beyond appearance?

Ask for the rationale connecting a layout or component to the brief and constraint. AIGA says the useful artifact shows what it needed to do and how the team reviewed it; that is process evidence, not a conversion claim.

Benchmark status reviewed 11 October 2026.

The exact category cohort does not support a publishable AOV aggregate.

Median and middle 50% of account-level average order values. Each account value is purchase ROAS multiplied by cost per purchase in USD. Successful classifications, including manual corrections, with positive finite spend, purchases, ROAS and cost per purchase. Accounts are counted once with equal weight. Quartiles use linear interpolation. Root cohorts include direct root classifications and their child categories; exact-child cohorts exclude parent and sibling categories. The source selects the highest-spend coverage row per account among snapshots dated within the preceding 30 days; the underlying reporting period is not supplied. This is a dated aggregate advertising-data snapshot, not business-wide AOV or a census. Parent and sibling benchmarks are never substituted.

Category scope
