What starts a marketing automation?

Mailchimp's automation flow begins when a contact meets a defined trigger. Document the trigger and eligible audience so contacts do not enter merely because they exist in the database.

Source Link to answer
What can happen inside a flow?

Mailchimp documents delays, conditional splits, messages, tags and contact updates as possible steps. The exact sequence should be reviewed against the promised customer experience before it is turned on.

How can a team inspect flow progress?

Mailchimp shows counts for contacts who started, are in progress or completed a flow, plus step-level statistics. Those operational counts describe the flow; they do not alone establish incremental sales.

What needs checking when a flow changes?

Review the trigger, branch conditions, delays and message contents together. A change to one step can alter who receives later messages; Mailchimp's documented step model makes this a practical pre-activation check.

The exact category cohort does not support a publishable AOV aggregate.

Median and middle 50% of account-level average order values. Each account value is purchase ROAS multiplied by cost per purchase in USD. Successful classifications, including manual corrections, with positive finite spend, purchases, ROAS and cost per purchase. Accounts are counted once with equal weight. Quartiles use linear interpolation. Root cohorts include direct root classifications and their child categories; exact-child cohorts exclude parent and sibling categories. The source selects the highest-spend coverage row per account among snapshots dated within the preceding 30 days; the underlying reporting period is not supplied. This is a dated aggregate advertising-data snapshot, not business-wide AOV or a census. Parent and sibling benchmarks are never substituted.
