What is the baseline for an improvement claim?

Name the measure and its current level before projecting change. NIST's Baldrige framework separates current levels from trends and comparisons; a percentage without a baseline cannot show a client's improvement.

Which process measures belong in a proposal?

Choose measures tied to the actual process requirement, such as cycle time or defects when those are relevant. NIST lists responsiveness and defect-related indicators as examples, not universal targets.

Does naming Lean or Six Sigma prove a result?

No. NIST lists them among possible improvement tools and says to evaluate process inputs, steps and resources when outcomes miss requirements. The proposal still needs a testable measure and scope.

How should a firm report change over time?

Show dated results using the same defined measure, then discuss trend and comparison context. NIST treats levels, trends, comparisons and integration into decisions as separate questions.

The exact category cohort does not support a publishable AOV aggregate.

Median and middle 50% of account-level average order values. Each account value is purchase ROAS multiplied by cost per purchase in USD. Successful classifications, including manual corrections, with positive finite spend, purchases, ROAS and cost per purchase. Accounts are counted once with equal weight. Quartiles use linear interpolation. Root cohorts include direct root classifications and their child categories; exact-child cohorts exclude parent and sibling categories. The source selects the highest-spend coverage row per account among snapshots dated within the preceding 30 days; the underlying reporting period is not supplied. This is a dated aggregate advertising-data snapshot, not business-wide AOV or a census. Parent and sibling benchmarks are never substituted.
