Where they differ
How the price grows
AdEspresso by Hootsuite: The price steps up by plan, not by spend: Starter covers up to $1,000 of monthly ad spend, and Plus at $99 has no spend limit. Annual prices are not shown on its pricing page. AdStellar: The plan is $100 a month, and AI credits cost $2 per 1,000, so the bill grows with the credits you use. Team members and ad accounts are unlimited.
Who each is built for
AdEspresso by Hootsuite: Agencies and small teams that prefer a manual builder with split tests and client reporting. AdStellar: AdStellar is built for performance teams and agencies running Meta ads. Its home page cites 4,400+ brands and agencies, which is its own claim.
How each one works
AdEspresso by Hootsuite: You build campaigns by hand and set up split tests and rules yourself. Plus and Enterprise add campaign approval so teams and clients can sign off before ads run. AdStellar: You chat with an agent that analyzes your account, creates image, video and UGC-style ads and launches them to Meta. It works from rules you write in plain English.

How we compare: methodology
- How each tool automates: rules, AI actions or both.
- Which ad platforms each covers and how campaigns get built.
- What the price buys and how it grows.
- What recent G2 reviewers praise and complain about.
Published by Madgicx, which competes with both tools. We use each vendor's pricing and product pages (adespresso.com and adstellar.ai) and the most recent G2 reviews we could read, with dates listed below. This is our editorial view of fit, not independent test results. Confirm any capability not listed here with the vendor.
