Where they differ

How the price grows

AdEspresso by Hootsuite: The price steps up by plan, not by spend: Starter covers up to $1,000 of monthly ad spend, and Plus at $99 has no spend limit. Annual prices are not shown on its pricing page. Albert.ai: Its pricing page publishes no figures and does not explain how your answers on the estimate form change the quote.

Who each is built for

AdEspresso by Hootsuite: Agencies and small teams that prefer a manual builder with split tests and client reporting. Albert.ai: Large brands and agencies with yearly ad budgets from $100k upward that want help across many channels.

How each one works

AdEspresso by Hootsuite: You build campaigns by hand and set up split tests and rules yourself. Plus and Enterprise add campaign approval so teams and clients can sign off before ads run. Albert.ai: It adjusts budgets, bids, audiences and creative rotation toward the goals and limits you set. Its website does not say whether you approve changes before they go live.

Our verdict

Choose AdEspresso by Hootsuite if

  • You can run split tests of headlines, images and audiences, with split-test analysis in every plan.
  • You get white-label PDF reports and view-only access to send to clients.
  • You get campaign approval on Plus, so teams and clients sign off before ads go live.

Choose Albert.ai if

  • You can hand budget and bid shifts to an AI that works in your existing ad accounts.
  • You get creative rotation based on how your ads perform, using ads your team already makes.
  • You can buy through a sales conversation with a start the company describes as a proof of concept.

Neither fits when

You need rules and AI actions that work on your Meta ads, with every change approved by you. We saw no chat on AdEspresso by Hootsuite's pages, so campaigns are built by hand. Albert.ai's pages describe no way to create campaigns from a chat. Madgicx creates campaigns, ad sets and ads from a chat, paused until you approve. Madgicx lists next steps for your ad account that you approve or dismiss, so every change is approved by you. Madgicx's MCP connector lets an AI assistant work with your Meta ad account. Seats and ad generations are unlimited in every plan, from $45 a month.

How we compare: methodology

  1. How each tool automates: rules, AI actions or both.
  2. Which ad platforms each covers and how campaigns get built.
  3. What the price buys and how it grows.
  4. What recent G2 reviewers praise and complain about.

Published by Madgicx, which competes with both tools. We use each vendor's pricing and product pages (adespresso.com and albert.ai) and the most recent G2 reviews we could read, with dates listed below. This is our editorial view of fit, not independent test results. Confirm any capability not listed here with the vendor. AdEspresso's help center did not load for us, so its rules and split testing are what its site describes. Albert.ai publishes no prices, and we found no help center, so its description rests on its home page, FAQ and pricing page.
