Research guidance for unclassified purchases.
No exact category peer group is available.
Google Analytics says web-stream purchases with the same transaction ID are deduplicated and warns against empty or reused IDs. An event count without reliable order identifiers can misstate transactions. Review the underlying order records before interpreting an unclassified offer; this measurement guidance does not create a peer group or supply a missing industry benchmark.
Google's ecommerce documentation specifies a separate refund event with the relevant transaction ID and item identifiers and quantities for item-level reporting. A purchase record alone does not describe every later reversal. Compare gross purchase activity with recorded refunds before drawing a commercial conclusion; this is implementation context, not proof that a particular account has complete refund data.
Google Analytics requires a currency when an event has a value and distinguishes transaction currency from the property's reporting currency. Equal numeric values are not necessarily equal monetary amounts. Verify currency and reporting treatment before comparing offers; the Other category remains research-only with null benchmark values.
Google distinguishes session-scoped traffic dimensions from event-scoped attribution dimensions. Session and user dimensions do not change with the selected attribution model, while event-scoped reports reflect it. A channel comparison needs the same scope and model. These definitions explain reporting differences without establishing causal ad lift or a coherent peer group for Other.

Research scope
Benchmark status reviewed 11 October 2026.
No exact category peer group is available for a publishable AOV aggregate.
Median and middle 50% of account-level average order values. Each account value is purchase ROAS multiplied by cost per purchase in USD. Successful classifications, including manual corrections, with positive finite spend, purchases, ROAS and cost per purchase. Accounts are counted once with equal weight. Quartiles use linear interpolation. Root cohorts include direct root classifications and their child categories; exact-child cohorts exclude parent and sibling categories. The source selects the highest-spend coverage row per account among snapshots dated within the preceding 30 days; the underlying reporting period is not supplied. This is a dated aggregate advertising-data snapshot, not business-wide AOV or a census. Parent and sibling benchmarks are never substituted.
